I love love my kindle. When not checking out books I use the kindle. For travelling it’s a must!! BTW what island you going to?

eve – the nook? i need to look into this. the idea of sharing books seems like a VERY good thing!

I just got a “Nook” (the B&N version) and I love it!! It’s so much prettier than the Kindle, and otherwise runs the same (it has updated software since the original reviews, so don’t believe them). I took it on vacation and read 4 books in the first week without any extra weight. PLUS — you can lend books to other Nook owners!! So if I love a book, I can send it to you for 14 days. And vice versa! Almost as good as lending real books, although not quite. Let me know if you get one!

I have a kindle and I love it completely. It isn’t like reading on a screen that is shiny and I find it actually much easier on my eyes sometimes than a book. I love how I can download books (although there are some titles that aren’t available) and I love that I can take notes and look things up in the dictionary so easily. I like how light it is and I find I just stick it in my purse and am reading so much more because I always have a manageable sized book with me. My sister also has one and she likes that no one has any idea what she is reading.
