I'm Just Saying…

It’s Not You…It’s Me

November20

I know what you’ve been thinking – what the hell happened to LBN? Even in the stress and insanity that was Summer 2009, she never vanished for this long – and now? She’s no where to be found. I wish I could update you all to say that I’m well on my way to finishing that novel I’m supposed to have spent the last 20 days writing – but I’m no closer than I was when last we spoke  (so, in fact, I do fail…miserably).

I’m actually only writing now to say – I’m taking some time off from the blogging world. As a rule, I don’t write about work stuff – and currently there’s a lot of work stuff that’s pretty tough not to write about. And when I’m not obsessing about that I’m consumed by trying to figure out how to deal with the loss that I know is around the corner. The two situations combined are really more than I care to analyze right now – and so it’s better to not put pen to paper – or fingers to keyboard.

I spoke to EDDIE today – I got an email at work from my mom saying he was having a good afternoon and if I could call I should. He had just gotten cable set up in the den where he now spends most of his time perched in a reclining chair – and he sounded almost like his old self. He wanted to know about what was going on at work and told me that I should tell the people that were being mean to me that my 87 year old grandfather was going to come after them. He also told me to quit and get pregnant – but that’s neither here nor there.

While I’m gone you can picture me dealing with my life by drinking massive amounts of wine, watching movies from the ‘80s, falling asleep at 9pm on ABN’s shoulder (I really haven’t been sleeping much), prepping for my family’s proposed Iron Chef competition the Saturday of Thanksgiving Weekend – etc. I’m sure I’ll be back to blogging eventually – but since life is unpredictable, I’m not going to set any timelines. We all this red head can’t keep quiet forever…I’m Just Saying….
