I Think They’re Calling My Name
so you might have noticed (unless you are reading this through a reader and in that case click on through and visit the actual website) that i’ve done some house keeping. thursday, as i was getting ready to leave sunny CA for my 10 days in CT (more on that in future posts) i received a comment on my post from one of my favorite bloggers ARIELLE, over at MORE THAN A MERMAID. turns out, while i had been reading her new blog all along, i hadn’t switched over my blog roll. she was concerned that i was no longer reading (AS IF!) which was the kick in the butt that i needed to update you all on the people i am following. after all, i’m following some of the best!
as i mentioned before, you’ll have to click on through to get the full list, but here’s a taste of who i cross my fingers and squint my eyes in hopes that they have posted as i wait for my reader to load:
…love Maegan: every day she posts an picture of what she’s wearing from the gallery she works in. if its not the outfit, the shoes or the bag, than its the hair that i’m drooling over. and lots of DIY projects...check out these beauties!
adventures of a book thief: we went to that damn all girls school together and while we aren’t in touch, i read her blog (and i’m fairly sure she reads mine too). she writes about life and about wanting to write more…and it’s beautiful
awkwardly social: one time, she tweeted that she was looking for a descent kosher wine and i responded with my favorite and i feel like we made a lasting connection. i know it’s one-sided and all in my head. and i’m sorta obsessed with her life.
cusp of normal: peacocks – enough said
fail blog: when life gets you down, a good FAIL can perk a girl right back up
perks of being a JAP: so, in all honesty i tend to shy away from the J word, but her stories have kept me reading and i figure as long as i don’t have to say the word out loud…whatever lacey bean and i could totally be friends
oh! how lovely – shops: quite simply…it’s all beyond lovely
scented glossy magazine: its all bravo reality tv all the time. need i say more?
the crazy baby mama: we went to elementary school together. she’s pregnant with her second. again, i’m obsessed with her life. did i mention she (and her kid) is gorgeous?
the state i am in: we were in the same cabin at camp in 6th grade, but i was reading and admiring her blog before i put it all together. GEORGIA takes pictures of the books she is reading during her lunch breaks and cooks fabulous meals, often on tuesdays.
things i bought that i love: i love KELLY KAPOOR. i love it when she buys things that she loves and then tells me about it. i wish she did it more often
[witty blog title]: i can’t wait for her to find a nice jewish boy but in the meantime, i’ll settle for stories of dating life
life on mars: its hard to find a blogger who is equal parts bacon and RACHEL ZOE
wow…that felt way more personal than i had expected. enjoy!
my mom is anxiously waiting (ie sitting on our porch tapping her fingers) for me to shut the laptop so i can learn to play mah jong. gotta jet!
Thank you

Aw, thanks for the shout out! =)
Mah jong is like the adult bat mitzvah–you’ve become a real Jewish woman when you learn!
robin – mah jong is sooooooooo complicated! i feel like things are swirling around above my head!
arielle – like i said before, i love it when you pop up in my reader!
Sorry you don’t like the J word, but glad you read anyway!
thank you, liz!!! i’m enjoying your blog as well
sarah – after reading your comment i was like, how does this person know i’m liz?! and then i saw it was you
hope you’re feeling great and can’t wait to read about swingers!
