I Hate Packing, I Hate Packing I Hate Packing
August26
i have been feeling overwhelmed by questions for the last few days. here’s what i seem to keep coming back to, in particular order:
- how many advil are too many advil?
- if one chooses to walk to work, and the walk is up and down hill over several miles, how does one not arrive at work a hot sweaty mess?
- do i have an acute sense of smell or does the world smell like feet to everyone?
- should i be watching jon and kate plus 8 or should i continue to abstain?
- what does a good night’s sleep feel like? are my expectations too high?
- day camp…really?
- what does one wear to a wedding-weekend that is taking place at a summer camp?
- what does one wear to a wedding-weekend that is taking place at a summer camp, and it’s supposed to rain?
- what book should i read after i finish my current book (which i highly recommend)? i have a huge stack that i checked out from the library, staring at me from across the room, and i don’t know which book to grab next
- what combination of drugs should i take before my red-eye flight?
- will the airport stores still be open tomorrow night when we arrive at the airport for said red-eye or should i attempt to buy a next support pillow before we head out? (we have two more red-eye flights coming up in as many months so i feel this purchase is more than justified)
- should i get my hair cut?
- should i fly down to LA for 12 hours?
- why do tropical mike and ike’s hurt my tummy?
- why can i not stop myself from eating the tropical mike and ike’s that hurt my tummy?
- what happened to all the camp sweatshirts i ordered that i didn’t give out yet? why weren’t they waiting for me on my desk when i returned from my weekend?
- what color should i have my toes painted for the wedding this weekend for my coral, and blue and white dress?
- does the dress i plan to wear for the wedding look like a hawaiian threw up?
- should i drive up to boston for 24 hours while in westport?
- should i just sit on my parent’s porch and do nothing?
- should ABN and i go to cabo or kaui for our vacation in feb/march?
- should we go to israel?
- should we go somewhere else?
- why can’t i get the doctor’s office to schedule an appointment?
- why can’t i sit up/stand up straight?
- why do i have so much anxiety about packing tonight?
- why are my fingers sorta blue?
- do i REALLY have enough time to get a mani/pedi post work/pre flight tomorrow?
- what should i make for dinner tonight? (eh screw it, i had ABN bring home burritos….)
so you know…let me know…help a girl out
Thank you

- if you get a non-mike & ike -related tummyache, you’ve taken too many advil
- i have a neck pillow you can borrow in exchange for the book that you promised to lend me
- if i were really rocking it camp style, i think peasant skirt and white silkscreened tshirt is probably the way to go.
thanksy lady!
here’s what i’ve discovered over the last four hours
1. the tummy ache is from the mike and ikes…no question. i’ve go to get rid of what i have left
2. i bought a neck pillow (before reading your commnet) and will get another one for ABN who was jealous (duh) – but it turns out my book is in CT so perfect timing, i’ll bring it back for you
3. if i was really rocking camp style i’d wear my shortest skirt and an oversized white vneck – although a note to anyone out there who is reading is and understands- i’m taking my red jacket…i mean clearly
Hawaii! Stay away from cabo!
thanks for the tip! yeah, abn is pretty hot on kaui right now…is that where you go? i haven’t been since i lived on the west coast before, probably around 12…and we went to maui
Hey there. I just stumbled upon here because I’m trying to find people who have my old blog (good things come to those who whine) on their blogrolls. So if you happen to update anytime soon, please update to my new site (morethanamermaid.blogspot.com). Thank you!! =) And I shall be adding you to my reader promptly =)
hey – thanks for stopping by. truth is i’ve been reading your new blog and loving it…and just never got around to updating my blogroll…i’m an ass, i know. but now that you reminded me – i’m haulting my work (eh work) and updating…so check it out people…there’s lots of great stuff!
1. Too many advil are the number it says on your bottle not to take more than.
2. Wear what you would wear on any other weekend for the wedding activities.
3. Definitely Kauai. Hawaii is the BEST ever.
4. Yes you should drive to Boston. No you shouldn’t go to LA for 12-hours unless it is grandparent related in which case, you should go.
5. What kind of neck pillow did you get? I’m in the market.
6. I just finished the latest David Sedaris and I loved “The Toss of a Lemon” and I also am loving “White Tiger”.
7. I would kill for a burrito.
go to hawaii…you can go to a coffee plantation, see volcanos, lay on beaches and the food there is the BESTEST – so fresh and delicious
