It’s the End of the World as We Know It
its not like i didn’t know that this day was coming. after-all, i haven’t actually worked a shift at PN since, what, the middle of january? but every thursday, that shiftless schedule continued to appear in my inbox – and with that notification i knew – my discount was secure.
this past thursday – no schedule. i checked again and again, i couldn’t believe my time had come. shudder.
my discount included all that GAP inc had to offer and like EVERYONE ELSE i was super excited about the $1 flipflop sale at old navy on saturday – $1 wasn’t good enough for me – i was psyched to get mine for 70 cents! and so i threw D in the car (more on her visit later) and ventured to DALY CITY to make use of the discount. i filled my cart with workout clothes and a really cute pair of bermuda shorts (camp director chic) and cursed the fact that they were sold out of flipflops. whatever, i would still successful. until i handed over my discount card – FAIL.
it is the end of an era. and while i am sad to see it go (i figure i’ll never shop at PINEAPPLE NATION) i’m excited to expand my horizons. but couldn’t i have had the opportunity to check out the new accessory store first?? the world is so cruel.
i’m super excited to not be at work today – even if i’m spending a big chunk of the day planning staff training, i’m also catching up on the DVR. D was here this past weekend and there was lots of good food and good SAN FRANCISCO – even a trip across the bridge to catch a baseball game…weird. we shopped on union, drank sangria, ate scallops cooked by ABN (my house STINKS), and even saw I LOVE YOU, MAN – slapping the bass – amazing.
tomorrow i’m off to the dentist – miserable.
Thank you
