i tried to write a quick post yesterday at work – but it didn’t quite happen.  oops.  there’s a lot going on – family has arrived, staff has been hired (last count – 52), bags have been packed – sort of.  i can’t believe i’m taking two days off of work almost as much as i can’t believe that my family is going on a mini vacation.  these two things don’t happen often in my life.  we used to travel together – weekends in palm springs, fall breaks on the east coast – but then i turned 12 and ruined a trip to london and basically all family travel stopped.  when we moved to CT all vacation time was spent treking back to LA and so…its been a while.  i think its going to be great – i mean, its hard to go wrong with all the food and wine.  and i’m excited to celebrate both of my parents.  i just also think its a lot of us in a house together.  with apparently no tv and no internet.  you know me – always up for a challenge (i packed my last ativan – just in case )

THE CHARACTER and i are off to IKE’S PLACE to pick up sandwiches for the drive.  i’m going to take him to the THE SLIDES as well but i’m concerned he might rip his tight jeans.  maybe concerned is the wrong word.
