In Addition, My Mom is on Facebook
its 70 degrees. in february. i’m not trying to brag to my readers still stuck on the east coast (although, i assume as you read this, you are feeling just that, stuck). rather, i’m seriously having a difficult time comprehending the information myself. does this weather ever get boring? i think…not. i’m sitting in a coffee shop – my second one of the day – and i just watched a pigeon take a nose dive directly into a dog bowl full of water. he is now sitting in the dog bowl looking confused. i hate pigeons.
i’ve had a productive morning – my first day officially unemployed (i could have worked a couple of days this week at PN but i wasn’t on the schedule – i called to see if they wanted me to come in but i haven’t heard back…that answers that question). i guess i’m not officially unemployed as i’ve set myself up with a nice little part time job (nicest because i can do it from the comfort of my red couch). i get paid a little more than i did while working at PN (in cash!) and let’s just say, in this line of work, there is no way i can spend my paycheck on the merchandise. i may go into more detail eventually but for now let’s just give a shout out to SUZ for making it all happen- it’s all about the people you know, and probably should have known your entire life because at the end of the day – we live in a very small world.
not only did i score my NICE little part time gig while in boston, i also had a phone interview for what could potentially be my dream job. i don’t want to get ahead of myself because really, i was surprised to get the first interview so instead of day dreaming of the setup of my new office, afternoons spent watching OPRAH while working-out at the in-house gym and changing the way kids view their jewish world – i’ll focus on getting that second interview. i should hear back tomorrow.
from here i’m going to join the gym. as an employ at PN (that’s right, technically i’m still in their books) i get a major discount and i figure i should take full advantage now. as i was averaging about 13 miles a day (4 miles to work, about 8 while on the floor and then another mile home from the train, straight up hill) i clearly have a lot of work to do. it’s a shitty gym that’s near my house and i’m a bit of a gym snob (all the more reason i’m hoping for that second interview) but i’ll make do with what i have for now and as i use exactly three machines i think this place really should cut it
.
when i got home yesterday ABN had flowers waiting for me on our coffee table. i think we’re both glad that i’m home.
Thank you
