I'm Just Saying…

Did I Mention We Might Have a Mouse?

December15

i had an extensive post planned about the stress requesting library books causes, but instead, the check engine light is back on in my car (second time in as many months) and so i have to run drop off the car before work. ABN’s response was “sell the car.” i’m not ready for that yet, but this is definitely pushing my limit.

i can tell it’s going to be a long day. not only am i dealing with the car, but i had picked out this cute, daring outfit, only to discover that a button was missing from the back of the dress. daring because the dress is from forever 21 (disposable clothing, shouldn’t be surprised it is missing a button) with a cold sequined bust. i had paired it with opaque tights and flat boots and a black blazer with a mega flower pin. there was a lot going on, sure, but i was ready for the challenge. now the outfit will need to wait until tomorrow. instead i’m wearing my super conservative black sheathe dress that goes way below my knees, an orange cardigan (pop of color) and an endless amount of gold bangles. i kept the flat boots on even though they are taller than the dress is short, but i just don’t have the strength to change them…and really, i’m working a long day and flat boots are a good thing.

i had the strangest dream last night: my TALL friend and i were on an airplane, going somewhere. she was sitting in first class and i was back in coach (what does this say about my life) and somehow she was seated BETWEEN tom cruise and brad pitt. oddly enough, tom was travelling with nicole kidman and brad was with gwyneth – strange that my dream takes place like 10 years ago. if that wasn’t enough, the airplane had to make an emergency landing, in a shopping mall. next thing i know i’m in PINEAPPLE NATION, asking customers if they need help finding their size. that’s right, even in a moment of crisis this personal shopper is always ready for a style challenge!

i need a real job.

okay, i’m actually glad you didn’t mention the mouse bc they scare the you know what out of me!!!! but of course if you do in your next post i;ll still read :)

i really love the description of your outfits. i read a lot of magazines so a “pop of color” seems, like, a really natural idiom for me. today i happen to be wearing my chanukah socks, which i would never do in real life but in rabbi school its’ acceptable (plus, they barely show) :)
