I Left ABN in the Middle of a Big Gay Street Fair
my hands are dry and peeling and my feet are so swollen they no longer fit into any of my shoes. this is a problem. yep, today is my 6th day in a row of work. and i’m working tomorrow too…awesome. i shouldn’t complain, after tomorrow i’m off until after NKOTB vegas weekend, but right now, i’m feeling like PN is my home.
yesterday was the official first day of the monogram stylist team. four of the six of us were on, which we all agreed was a bit over-kill…we spent many many many hours orbiting around each other, sharing a very small number of customers, straightening lots of hangers. the store itself was fairly empty but we all agreed that by keeping all the top sellers in one little area, PN is not getting the most out of its staff. live and learn. our goal is $600 an hour, each…i brought in $525…which made me feel way lame as my average for last month was over $900. i hoping to make it up today, but it’s a monday and that doesn’t really feel too promising.
for weeks now i have been talking about starting a book club. i miss my group from boston on a daily basis. we fell somewhere between a book club that likes to eat and an eating club that likes books – which seems to be the perfect combination to me. anyway, i finally planned an initial sf book club meeting – bringing together a few women who i have met/reconnected with along the way. we’re reading THIS…not til december, but something to look forward to. i’ll keep you posted.
Thank you
