thank god retail called today because…well, let’s just say thank god. that’s right. starting wednesday i will be an official, part-time employee at pineapple nation. i’ll be working at their flagship store downtown in sales support, women’s sales support. basically, they said despite my lack of sales experience (lack as in zero) they felt i had great potential (i credit the blue shoes) and want me to be front and center in their biggest store. i’m even making a bit more money than usually starting salary because i’ll be working in the women’s department – which i guess means more money? i don’t really know. i’m so so so so excited!

it’s really good timing because i was having a fairly crappy day. the realtor still hadn’t returned my call from friday and my long planned walk to check out sarah jessica parker’s line of clothes, bitten, was totally fruitless as by the time i arrived, the shelves were bare (my retail expertise tells me this is not good). i walked 9 miles. seriously. it’s pathetic. thank god i’m now employed. phew.

and at the end of the day i heard from the realtor. we’re going to see two places tomorrow afternoon and then i’m going to see a third on my own tomorrow evening. so while today started off crappy, it’s turning out pretty alright.
