My People
July24
just a quick post today – i’m in the middle of buying plane tickets for a quick trip to LA a the end of august and don’t want to let myself get too distracted. big day today – ventured downtown (on foot) and visited the contemporary jewish museum. it was awesome….there were two old women standing behind me, arguing about what age constituted being a senior, complaining about the line to get in, questioning whether or not there was and elevator to ride because “there’s no way i’m hiking up those stairs”…hearing those women – i felt right at home, one with my people.
i also purchased this book today…if you know the greater significance…well, then we’ve probably known each other more than 15 years
. i was wandering around downtown after the museum in search of cute, good walking shoes – an essential in sf, but alas, no luck…and found this book in an urban outfitters. i heard it existed but to see it in person was much more impressive…so yeah, i bought it. i figure it will come in handy – being broke and in sf and all.
alright, back to those plane tickets…and maybe i’ll soak my feet.
Thank you
